Job Purpose

Be responsible to provide the guest with updated information about the hotel€™s facilities and to facilitate and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to the satisfaction of the guest during their stay in accordance with company policies and standards.


  • Matric or equivalent




  • 1-2 years experience in a similar or front office position in a 5 star environment



Skills and Knowledge

  • Must be computer literate €“ MS Office and Opera will be advantageous
  • Pleasant and presentable with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle situations of conflict
  • Excellent grooming and professional appearance
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Knowledge of Cape town and surrounding areas



Key Performance Areas:

  • To know all areas, services and functions of the hotel and keep up to date with information and promotions
  • To greet welcome and perform roomings for all guests on arrival according to the company standards
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Co-ordinate group check-ins and check-outs
  • Check VIP status and rooms
  • Maybe required to act in duty manager€™s position
