Job Purpose

The Cashiering Shift Manager manages the day to day delivery of the cash desk and count operations and teams in both front of house and back of house areas with the objectives of maintaining standards of operation and maximising customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies, in line with regulations and Company standards.

Education

€¢ Grade 12 €¢ Tertiary qualification in business related qualification preferable

Experience:

€¢ Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position in the casino industry or a cash handling function

Skills and Knowledge

€¢ Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements €¢ Physically able to move around as per job requirements (including with the use of aids) €¢ Strong business acumen with sound financial (mathematical/analytical) management €¢ Kronos (time and attendance) knowledge an advantage €¢ EGS knowledge and work experience an advantage €¢ Sound ER and IR practices

Key Performance Areas:

€¢ Manages the shift €¢ Conducts effective rostering and duty allocations in line with operational demands €¢ Effectively handles Shift briefings / handovers / shift reports / disputes €¢ Manages staff and cash desk appearance/ functioning of equipment and systems €¢ Manage cashiering equipment and fault reporting €¢ Manages stock (e.g. numbered stationery, casino cards, casino chips, etc) €¢ Report discrepancies in control environment for investigation by Surveillance. €¢ Ensure a sound corporate governance and compliance environment is maintained with zero-tolerance on regulatory non-compliance (e.g. FIC, SOPs, ICSs etc.) €¢ Monitor cashier variances and take corrective action were necessary €¢ Maintain logical and physical secure cashiering and count areas €¢ Monitor and report suspicious behaviour/activities €¢ Month-end reporting and strategic direction €¢ Communicates the standard operating procedures to the cashier and count teams to ensure everyone has a sound understanding of expectations and processes €¢ Reconciles and resolves pay-out exceptions and variances €¢ Manage cash levels to meet demand €¢ Monitor and log cashier variances €¢ Handle or escalate suspicious transactions as per legislated requirements. €¢ Manage casino debtors €¢ Reconcile Forex and conduct daily banking €¢ Manages count and drop procedures as per the ICS €¢ Effectively manage daily count and reporting €¢ Authorise and audit records and filing of documentation
