Job Purpose

To assist the F&B Manager with the planning, implementing and reviewing of the F&B standards and service levels for the Maslow Hotel to ensure quality delivery in all Food & Beverage outlets of the hotel.

Education

€¢ Matric and a recognized Hotel School degree/diploma
 

Experience:

€¢ 3 €“ 5 Years€™ experience in relevant F&B management position(s), preferably obtained in a 4-5 star hotel environment
€¢ High level of computer and Internet literacy €“ knowledge and experience of Opera and Micros is a prerequisite. ICDL certification will be an added advantage
€¢ Industry knowledge of food and service trends
€¢ An ability to manage and maximize F&B Budgets

Key Performance Areas:

€¢ Assist with the planning, implementing and reviewing of workflows and staffing levels for the F&B Department to achieve departmental objectives.
€¢ Ensure a high level of personal service and visibility.
€¢ Plan, implement and review systems to ensure maximum guest satisfaction through effective guest liaison, prompt response and resolution of guest complaints in all F&B Departments.
€¢ Plan, implement and review systems to ensure proactive operational management €“ anticipate service needs ahead of time.
€¢ Manage Business Partners relationships to deliver the required level of F&B service standards.
€¢ Develop staff to ensure they have knowledge of promotions and/or special events.
Participate in the overall line management responsibilities for the Food & Beverage Department.
€¢ Ensure one€™s own conduct in dealing with Guests and Associates is a reflection of the Hotel€™s values.
€¢ Assist with the control of F&B operational equipment, and ensure that stock levels are at par.
€¢ Co-ordinate between all Hotel departments with respect to Food & Beverage needs.
Planning, execution and evaluation of stock takes and results €“ Food/Beverage/O.E.
€¢ Enforce pre-determined productivity levels in relation to standards and budgets.
€¢ Maintain financial discipline throughout the department in all aspects.
€¢ Ensure the effective and fair management of people processes in the department.
