Job Purpose

Responsible and accountable for mobilising and converting prospective sports betting customers into becoming active in placing sports bets online; and reactivating business from dormant clients into sales through establishing and maintaining online and telephonic business relationships with clients with the aim of maximising the revenue potential of the business.

Education

Grade 12

Experience:

  • Previous experience in Sales or a call centre environment
  • Experience in sports betting would be an advantage

Skills and Knowledge

  • Requires specialised theoretical knowledge and processes relating to outbound sales practices, processes and regulations
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders and customers from a sales perspective - influencing, motivating and encouraging specific behavior
  • Provide information and make recommendations regarding products, channels and services that will meet operational requirements

Key Performance Areas:

  • Have a good understanding of sport, online sports betting and the Sunbet product (including advantages and disadvantages)
  • Contact registered sports betting clients to educate them around system functionality, Mobilise new and dormant customers to increase their online betting activity and convert opportunities into business
  • Acquire leads and respond to leads received
  • Communicate and conduct regular follow-ups with existing clients to retain and where possible increase business revenues
  • Own customer concerns, quickly address their questions and overcome potential roadblocks, escalating issues to management, where necessary
  • Trouble shoot and resolve any issues being experienced by the customer through telephonic consultation with customers
  • Access and retrieve customer information and manage sensitive customer data in the system to ensure that records are updated and maintained whilst conversing with customers
  • Contact service providers and log calls to resolve issues on behalf of customers
  • Maintain the integrity of data in the database, including activating special deal requirements
  • Assist in facilitating the resolution of any inbound customer calls or complaints when required
  • Ensures that clients and guests are treated with courtesy and respect at all times
  • Interact with clients and guests and provide professional service standards and solutions
  • Handle any complaints, disputes and suggestions, escalating any issues as required
  • Engage with customers and provide a customer experience that will support brand loyalty ensuring Sunbet as the brand of choice
  • Attend promotions or functions, and support colleagues when necessary
  • Keep knowledge up to date with available products, promotions (including promotion information, functions, facilities, etc) and packages available
  • Provide post-mortem feedback with regards campaigns to ensure these are always relevant and effective
