Job Purpose

To provide specialised licensing, research and project management support on regulated matters to ensure the seamless implementation and operation of regulatory obligations across the group, and the consistent delivery of services provided by the department to all clients and stakeholders.

Education

Grade 12/ Matric

Studying towards or has a 3-year qualification in Compliance Management or Legal is preferred

Experience:

2 years experience in corporate compliance or Legal

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of gaming and other relevant legislation is an advantage

Knowledge of BBBEE legislation /Gaming Regulations / Sun International Bid commitments

Ability to read, write and speak English

Key Performance Areas:

  • Conduct research into latest updates in gaming and other relevant legislation and provisions; as well gaming regulations
  • Update internal compliance standards in line with legislation and regulations
  • Communicate updates to Compliance Manager for distribution to business units
  • Update Sun Compliance Portal for easy access by business operations and leaders
  • Works with internal stakeholders (gaming, security, internal and external auditors) to identify risk areas and make recommendations to address these
  • Monitors internal compliance audits and progress on action steps
  • Escalate any areas of concern or continued non-compliance
  • Drafting of legal correspondence and correspondence to Gaming Boards
  • Monitoring of licences (validity and conditions)
  • Assist with due diligence work.
  • Develop and maintain the Compliance Portal
  • Facilitate information sharing sessions with relevant stakeholders as required at a business unit level
  • Guides and coaches employees within the business units to understand and use information correctly and to required standards
  • Prepare quarterly RGP Reports
  • Arrange and co-ordinate logistics around the Compliance Conference
