Job Purpose

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager the incumbent will be responsible for co-ordinating the effective operation of the maintenance function through the management of all associates and contractors and the implementation of the preventative programs

Education

  • Matric or equivalent
  • T3 or N5 Qualification
  • Wireman€™s Licence
  • Qualify as the €œresponsible person€ in terms of the requirements of the relevant legislation
  • Engineering Diploma will be an added advantage

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years post apprenticeship experience in a relevant field
  • Five (5) years proven Management experience in a same or similar environment
  • Strong technical background with experience in most aspects of the maintenance fields associated with the hospitality / gaming industry

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven Leadership ability
  • Proven organisational skills, and ability to think strategically
  • Proven Project Management Skills
  • Experience on Computerized Building Management Systems, Computerized, Facility Management and Maintenance systems
  • Strong technical background with experience in most aspects of the maintenance fields associated with the hotel industry
  • Financially astute €“ budgeting and forecasting
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, MS Word, Windows)
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to details
