Job Purpose

The Auditor performs both assurance and consultative audits according to te approved audit plan, audit methodology, King III and IIA standards


  • Higher Diploma in Computer Auditing
  • B.COM - information Technology/ Auditing
  • National Diploma - Information Technology
  • CISA/CRISK/CISM/CGEIT( one or more)
  • Membership to IIA an added advantage


1 to 3 years experience in an audit role

Key Performance Areas:

    Conducts audit engagement in line with the approved audit methodology and IIA standards

  • Participates in the planning of the engagement and in the opening meeting with the client
  •  Plans working papers for audits
  •  Performs the audit in line with the approved audit methodology and IIA Standards
  • Drafts audit findings and clears these with the client and audit manager
  •  Manages own delivery and time on the engagement
  •  Manages manager and client expectations
  •  Follows up on clients requested data and supporting documentation
  • Generates and provides ad hoc reports as requested by GIA management
  •  Participates in close out meeting with the Audit Manager

Identifies and uses CAATs tests

  • Understands the data points and the flow of business processes
  • Identifies CAATs audit tests applicable on the engagement
  • Maintains the integrity of the data and the collection process

Self development

  • Identifies and participates in activities for own development in line with Sun International's specifications
  • Maintain 40 hours of CPD annually
  • Keeps up to date with latest principles, methodologies, industry and professional knowledge
