Job Purpose

Responsible for acquiring new VIP gaming business, reactivating inactive business and establishing and maintaining existing individual business in the domestic and local market through the analysis of player activity trends and with the ultimate aim of achieving or exceeding revenue targets, in line with Company policy.

 

Education

  • Grade 12
  • 3-Year Tertiary qualification in marketing is an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years€™ experience in a VIP personal hosting role is essential

Key Performance Areas:

Player Development:

  • Conduct an analysis of past and current player activity over the last 12 - 60 months period
  • Reactivate clients that have been inactive for between 12 months and 5 years
  • Compile a Player Development Plan to assist in increasing player activity, visitations and revenue to the business unit
  • Communicate and conduct regular follow-ups with existing and potential clients
  • Have a complete knowledge and understanding of all SI properties and facilities
  • Maintains positive relationships with all clients, colleagues, gaming and sales networks
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings to initiate, build and secure business for SI
  • Conduct meet-and-greet€™s; and familiarization trips; and entertain whenever required
  • Manage specific VIP domestic gaming customer accounts
  • Develop customer accounts to drive VIP gaming business into SI properties and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Maintain the confidentiality of guest€™s transactions, company records are managed
  • Maintain integrity of data in the database and manipulate data for reporting purposes.

New Business Acquisition

  • Work within current business strategies and recognize potential opportunities for new business acquisition
  • Conduct a competitor analysis to identify gaps and new business opportunities
  • Attend gaming events to raise awareness around the property€™s brand, as required
  • Acquire leads and respond to leads received
  • Leverage existing relationships to initiate and develop relationships with potential clients to move clients to SI properties
  • Negotiate packages that are mutually beneficial to the parties
  • Negotiate rebate packages in collaboration with the SVP VIP Gaming Sales
  • Investigate and compile a client synopsis which provides specific value add information that informs decision making.

Reports

  • Completion of monthly Player Development reports for the property to indicate:
    • competitor analyses
    • player trends and analyses
    • the value of new business acquired;
    • the reactivation of inactive business
    • the return on investment produced from initiatives that have been implemented
  • Provide Sales Force supporting documentation

 

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Liaise with VIP Management and Group VIP in formulating the targets and plans for the acquisition of new business and activations of inactive business
  • Cooperate with other departments on the property to create exceptional Guest experiences and build strong relationships with key clients to ensure return VIP gaming business
  • Continuously engage with clients to establish and grow loyal relationships for SI
  • Coordinates the distribution of information to all relevant departments on the property
  • Attends gaming and VIP meetings and provide relevant feedback and information to management and the department
