Job Purpose

Our commitment to skills development of the unemployed and employed is demonstrated both through the Bursary Scheme and the provision of work readiness programmes like the Dealer School, Learnership and Internship.

Sun Carnival City is looking to employ Tables Dealer-Trainees. Candidates who will be taking part in the programme will benefit from gaining critical functional and behavioural competencies.


  • Grade 12 or equivalent national qualification in gaming operations


  • Previous experience in a customer facing role

Skills and Knowledge

  • English verbal communication skills
  • Numerical skills (calculations of large numbers)
  • Basic computer skills

Key Performance Areas:

  • Deal tables games including Roulette / Blackjack
  • Use Gaming Tables equipment €“ chip handling, chipping machines, Shuffling machines
  • Betting procedures
  • Compliance procedures and regulations
  • Basic responsible gambling principles


Work Conditions and Special Requirements:

  • Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements
  • Work in a smoking environment
  • Physical mobility to move around as per job requirements (including with the use of aids)
  • Full visual acuity (ability to discern colours)
  • Manual Dexterity €“ ability to handle chips and cards with both hands
