Job Purpose

The successful incumbent will responsible to support and assist the Front Office Manager with the day to day operations and responsible for managing all aspects of the front desk operations in accordance with the company€™s policies and procedures.


Matric or equivalent Recognised Hotel School Diploma or equivalent in experience Computer literacy essential €“ MS Office and Opera, (Midas and Kronos experience - an added advantage)


At least 3- 5 years` experience in a 5 Star Hotel environment in a similar position

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict situations Strong administration, planning and organisational skills

Key Performance Areas:

Assist and support the Front Office Manager with the Management of the day to day operations Assist with the implementation, compliance and adherence of policies, standard operating procedures & systems and the maintenance thereof; Manage all functions on the front desk and ensure smooth running of thereof. Ensuring the circulation of information to all relevant departments with regard to the movements of guests & status of rooms; Ensure effective communication and feedback Manage control stock levels Conduct staff training as and when required Enforce health and safety procedures; To ensure professional conduct of self and subordinate staff whilst on duty and whilst dealing with Guest and Associates in line with company standards; Check VIP status and rooms. Checking in & checking out of guests & ensuring that the policies & procedures are adhered to
